Hi! I am Dr. Richardson. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia, and returned home to Baltimore with a clear sense of purpose. My first professional chapter was with the Choice Program as an AmeriCorps member, where I provided counseling and mentoring to youth on probation within the Department of Juvenile Services. That work confirmed what I already felt in my bones: mental health care is not a luxury, and our communities cannot wait for it.

That conviction led me back to school. I completed both my Master of Science in Pastoral Counseling and my Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision at Loyola University Maryland, where I deepened my commitment to integrative, whole-person care.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Supervisor, a National Certified Counselor, and a certified Life Coach with more than ten years of experience providing counseling and therapeutic services to adults, adolescents, children, and families across a wide range of cultural backgrounds and lived experiences. My specialty is the integration of mental health and spirituality, and my clinical lens centers the healing of the mind, body, and spirit as inseparable.

My passion for advocacy has shaped the arc of my career. The mental health disparities facing the African American community are not incidental; they are the result of systemic inequities that demand a direct, sustained response. I have oriented much of my work around bringing awareness to those disparities and ensuring that Black communities have access to care that is both clinically rigorous and culturally grounded.

As a Life Coach and Mental Health Consultant, I work with individuals to help them uncover and act on their passion, potential, and purpose. I currently serve as the founder of The Rich Life Brand, LLC, a coaching and consulting firm; as a Clinical Faculty member at Coppin State University; and as a Field Placement Coordinator and Counseling Psychology Faculty member at the University of Baltimore. I am honored to bring that breadth of experience to my role here at BHP Collective, where the values that have guided my entire career are the same values we practice every day.

Supervisees:
