Full Length Bio:
So this is the bio I was working on: Dr. Melissa Marshall is an organizational psychologist, business and leadership coach, and clinical therapist whose work moves fluidly between the boardroom and the therapy room. She partners with executives, entrepreneurs, couples, and individuals who are ready to do focused, deeply impactful work on the systems shaping their lives, whether that system is a company, a marriage, a family, or the inner one they carry within themselves.
Dr. Marshall holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology and completed the Master’s Plus Graduate program in Counseling Psychology at Loyola University Maryland. Her dual training in industrial organizational psychology and clinical mental health gives her a rare vantage point: she understands how people function inside organizations, how organizations shape the people inside them, and how to intervene at both levels at once.
As an I/O and business consultant, Dr. Marshall partners with entrepreneurs and organizational leaders on professional development and growth, workplace culture, team dynamics, and the human side of business strategy. Her consulting and coaching clients include executives navigating high stakes transitions, business owners scaling their companies, and professionals stepping into new levels of responsibility and visibility. For the past decade, she has also served as adjunct faculty and guest lecturer at several local colleges and universities, where her teaching focuses on the intersection of psychology, leadership, and human development.
As a business and life coach, Dr. Marshall offers structured, results focused coaching for clients who want to move with intention. Her coaching work supports clarity around purpose, alignment between values and decisions, performance under pressure, communication and relational skill building, and the personal growth required to lead well in any arena.
Dr. Marshall is also known for her Imago Therapy intensives and Expressive Arts intensives, offered as immersive alternatives to traditional weekly sessions. As an Imago Certified Clinical Therapist, she has served over one hundred couples through transformative relational work, including couples healing from affairs, partners rebuilding trust, and LGBTQ+ couples deepening connection. Her Imago intensives compress months of couples work into focused multi day experiences, ideal for partners who want momentum and privacy. Her Expressive Arts intensives, grounded in her certification as a Systemic SandPlay Therapist and extensive training in sandtray and expressive modalities, offer a non verbal, deeply experiential path into the material that traditional talk therapy can sometimes circle around.
Dr. Marshall brings more than twenty years of experience in the mental health field, including early career work providing parenting support for families of children with severe emotional and behavioral challenges. She has additional training in Imago Therapy for Couples, Expressive Arts and sandtray therapy, and Grief Counseling. She currently sees clients as young as five and will begin offering psychological evaluations and assessments in June 2026.
Whether you are an executive sharpening your leadership, a couple ready for an intensive reset, a creative seeking expressive depth work, or an individual stepping into the next version of yourself, Dr. Marshall offers a thoughtful, integrative space to do the work.
