Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor
Hi! I am Farrach and I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in the state of Maryland, working under the clinical supervision of Dr. Melissa Marshall, to ensure the highest standard of care for every client I serve. My journey to this work has been anything but linear, and I believe that is exactly what makes me the therapist I am today.
I was born and raised in Venezuela and have lived across several countries, a lived experience that gave me an intimate understanding of what it means to navigate cultural transitions, build identity across borders, and find home within yourself when the world around you keeps shifting. I offer therapy in both English and Spanish, and I hold that bilingual, bicultural space with deep intention.
I completed my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Universidad Latina de Costa Rica in 2006 and earned my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from the University of Baltimore in 2025. My path between those two degrees was rich and purposeful. I spent years working in Human Resources in Costa Rica, leading corporate coaching, training, and development, which gave me a strong foundation in how people grow, transition, and find their footing inside systems and organizations.
In my clinical work, I specialize in developmental trauma, life transitions, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, immigration and cultural adjustment, attachment, relationships, and spiritual exploration. I work with adults and couples, and I bring the whole of who I am into the room. That means weaving together CBT, existential and experiential approaches, attachment theory, humanistic principles, and the neurobiological wisdom of somatic and mindfulness-based practice. I also integrate yoga philosophy into my therapeutic work, not as an add-on, but as a deeply researched framework for understanding how the body holds and releases what the mind has carried.
That connection to yoga has been central to my life since 2007. I began teaching in 2008 and am an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500-Hour Level through Yoga Alliance (E-RYT-500). I became an Anusara Inspired teacher in 2012 and completed advanced training with Noah Mazé in 2014. I have deepened my philosophy and meditation studies with Bill Mahony, Douglas Brooks, and Paul Muller Ortega, teachers whose influence lives in how I hold space, how I listen, and how I understand the relationship between the nervous system, the spirit, and the healing process.
I also offer virtual and in-person yoga sessions as well as retreats, because I believe that healing does not only happen in a therapy chair. Sometimes it happens in the body first.
If you are looking for a therapist who will honor the complexity of who you are, including your culture, your history, your body, and your spirit, I would be honored to work with you.
