Hi, I’m Mikasha. I am a recent graduate with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Counseling. I am passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families as they work toward building stronger relationships and discovering meaningful pathways to personal growth and healing.
As an African American woman, I bring a culturally grounded and compassionate perspective to my work, with a deep commitment to uplifting communities that have historically been marginalized or discouraged from seeking mental health support. My lived experiences, combined with my academic training and professional background in counseling, social work, and lay ministry, have shaped my understanding of the emotional, spiritual, and relational complexities that many individuals and families navigate.
I am especially drawn to working with individuals and couples who are exploring challenges related to communication, connection, faith, and identity. My therapeutic style is warm, respectful, and rooted in empathy. I strive to create a space where you can feel safe, supported, and free to explore both your pain and your potential without fear of judgment.
With a heart for healing and a foundation in both clinical and faith-informed approaches, I walk alongside clients as they move toward greater clarity, wholeness, and overall well-being — both personally and within their relationships.
